Position Summary
An After School Program Mentor is responsible for supervising students, promoting and actively participating in all program activities, while providing a safe and fun learning environment, and serving as a positive role model for campers.
Position Objective/Purpose
We are seeking motivated team members who believe deeply in the organization's mission and who display a record of achievement in effective supervision & management of youth as it pertains to this position, building positive relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of people of all ages.
Responsibilities:
Group supervision of campers with attention to: behavior and group management, health, safety, security, and personal and skill development.
Attend bi-weekly Team meeting.
Work with a group of 4-6 students on academic support and literacy development.
Utilize a variety of character development and social emotional learning activities.
Promote and actively participate in all activities & projects.
Work effectively with co-workers and collaborate on daily responsibilities.
Teach or assist with programs.
Complete assigned paperwork.
Serve as a positive role model to campers.
Follow the ESF Dream Camp Code and maintain the ESF Dream Camp Look at all times (uniform).
Exhibit ESF Core Values at all times and to adhere to all company policies.
Have fun.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
