Position Summary
An After School Program Mentor is responsible for supervising students, promoting and actively participating in all program activities, while providing a safe and fun learning environment, and serving as a positive role model for campers.

Position Objective/Purpose
We are seeking motivated team members who believe deeply in the organization's mission and who display a record of achievement in effective supervision & management of youth as it pertains to this position, building positive relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of people of all ages.

Responsibilities:

  • Group supervision of campers with attention to: behavior and group management, health, safety, security, and personal and skill development.

  • Attend bi-weekly Team meeting.

  • Work with a group of 4-6 students on academic support and literacy development.

  • Utilize a variety of character development and social emotional learning activities.

  • Promote and actively participate in all activities & projects.

  • Work effectively with co-workers and collaborate on daily responsibilities.

  • Teach or assist with programs.

  • Complete assigned paperwork.

  • Serve as a positive role model to campers.

  • Follow the ESF Dream Camp Code and maintain the ESF Dream Camp Look at all times (uniform).

  • Exhibit ESF Core Values at all times and to adhere to all company policies.

  • Have fun.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
